Overview of Winterim
All on-campus students are required to attend the two-week Winterim and to enroll in the equivalent of three hours per day (i.e., 30 class hours over a two-week period). Students are permitted to enroll in additional courses. Students are also permitted to audit courses if there is sufficient room. Faculty-approved off-campus study and directed study will be options. Costs for off-campus study are the responsibility of the student or the sponsoring group.
Winterim courses are also available to WELS pastors and pastors in fellowship with the WELS. Tuition costs, registration fees, and course selections will be posted on the seminary's website on or about October 15. Pastors may register by contacting the faculty secretary (heislerd@wls.wels.net). Pastors may take Winterim courses for credit which can be applied to summer quarter degree program. At the present time Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary is not able to provide Winterim housing in its dormitories for pastors.
