Christmas greetings

Who would think that a baby born in a stable would save the world? Who would think that a body in the grave would rise up again?
Who would think?
Well, despite a sin-filled world telling us otherwise, we do. And the world scoffs at us.
We have been called fools, zealots, extremists, and fanatics for believing that a baby born in a stable could save the world. Or that the body of a dead man would rise up out of the earth restored. But what the world doesn’t know is that it wasn’t just any baby and it wasn’t just any man. This man is God, the Savior of all. That is the rock-solid truth.
And our lives depend on it.
Because we know this good news, we want to share it. We want to tell a lost and dying world that there is hope.
We want to shine the light of the Word on the hearts of those living in the darkness of unbelief—your neighbors, family members, co-workers, or friends.
Their lives depend on it, too.
That’s why what we do as your seminary is so important. We prepare young men to proclaim this life-saving gospel in your congregations, in your mission fields, and to your neighbors. We prepare them to declare, “This is what our God has done” to a world that so desperately needs to hear it.
Your partnership in this Great Commission is important, too. The prayers you offer on behalf of our students and our faculty are effective and appreciated. The gifts you offer in support of our Student Scholarship Fund help us provide much needed and appreciated financial assistance to men studying for the gospel ministry. Gifts to the Seminary Fund offset our day-to-day operating expenses and allow us to keep tuition rates low. Planned gifts, acknowledged through our newly founded Legacy Society, allow you to bear witness to future generations even after you go home to his glory.
Your seminary— and our students— have not been immune to the financial challenges facing our country in recent years. Your partnership is vital, now more than ever. If you have not done so, please consider a gift in support of Christ’s mission here at your seminary. If you are already a regular giver, please consider increasing your gift as you are able.
Above all, keep your eyes on the Baby. Rest your heart in the empty tomb. He lives for all. So we live for others to give life in the one on whom their lives depend.
Thank you, friend in faith, for your loving and continued support. God’s richest blessings this Christmas and always,
Paul O. Wendland, president
